
Saturday April 26th, the Chicago General Membership Branch of the IWW will be hosting a teach-in on the history and legacy of the Haymarket Affair and the “Chicago Idea” of class struggle unionism at our office 1700 S Loomis Ave, beginning at 5:00.
On May 1 we will begin to gather at 11:30 at Union Park for a rally and feeder march leading to the main immigration and labor march. The main march will be 3:00-4:30 from the Haymarket monument at Randolph and Des Plains to ICE headquarters at 101 West Congress Parkway.
May Day night we plan to host a benefit concert at the United Electrical Workers Hall, 37 S Ashland Ave. Doors open at 6:00.
May 4th, we will have a picnic and social at the Haymarket Martyr’s Monument at Forest Home Cemetery, 863 Desplaines Ave, Forest Park, IL.
